Medical Oncologist (Locum Tenens) | Part-Time

Board-Certified Medical Oncologist

Recruiting on behalf of our client, we are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist to provide high-quality oncology care to Veterans in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This flexible locum tenens opportunity offers part-time coverage with the potential for a long-term assignment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical oncology evaluations, consultations, and treatment plans
Manage oncology patients in outpatient clinics and inpatient settings
Evaluate referrals and develop individualized treatment strategies
Collaborate with primary care providers and multidisciplinary care teams
Participate in oncology consultation and call coverage as scheduled
Maintain timely clinical documentation and support quality-of-care initiatives

Schedule

Part-time, flexible coverage (24-40 hours per week)
Clinic hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, approximately 3 days per week
On-call coverage required approximately 17 weeks annually, including evenings, nights, and weekends
Alternative scheduling options may be available

Required Qualifications

Doctorate Degree (MD or DO)
Board Certified in Medical Oncology
Current BLS certification (AHA BLS or ARC BLS)
Current ACLS, ALS, or ATLS certification
