A Store Manager grows retail shop sales in all categories and implements ‘best practice’ of each component of the retail offer. This position ensures competent, capable employees are recognized and developed through ongoing training.Key AccountabilitiesFinancial ResponsibilitiesManage and track the following elements:Store SalesNet ProfitOverall Store BusinessPeople ManagementRecruit and select new employeesOverall management and responsibility of Sandwich Artist, Shift Managers, Assistant ManagersEnsure that new employees are trained and inducted in accordance with Subway training requirementsProvide ongoing coaching of employees and lead expectations by examplePrepare the rosters in line with budgeted labor and man hoursRun employee counseling sessions and Investigation Meetings. Inform District Supervisor of escalated employee issuesPerform employee appraisals once every quarterMentor Assistant Managers as requiredBusiness AcumenDevelop and monitor store labor budgets and man hoursInvoicing, ordering and daily bankingPrepare required paperwork in relation to stock and sales. Prepare employee pay and timesheetsManage cash variances and wastageEnsure 100% compliance in accordance to SUBWAY and council guidelinesRetail AcumenPerform inventory management and stock control including weekly stock take and reports. Analyze the Weekly Sales & Inventory Report to improve the businessDirect and undertake housekeeping activities such as maintaining store cleanliness and presentationCreate and implement Local Store Marketing PlansComplete all required courses as directed by District SupervisorOccupational Health & SafetyEnsure safety procedures are followed to prevent injuryProvide a safe work environment for employees and customersEnsure all accidents are reported as per company processCustomer ServicesPromote & encourage a high level of customer service amongst employeesProvide a high standard of customer service in dealing with sales, inquiries, and complaintsHandle unresolved and/or escalated customer complaintsKey ChallengesMaintain high personal standards in both presentation and work habitsManage point of sale and customer complaintsSales growth, financial management and analytical judgmentStrategic thinking with planning and alignmentInventory managementCollaborate and negotiate with othersCompliance and process focusedMaintain store cleanliness and hygiene at all timesPerform such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr Subway
