KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our Washington National Tax (WNT) practice.


Responsibilities:

• Work closely with other offices of KPMG LLP as well as KPMG International member firms to provide advice to their clients
• Consult with other dispute resolution professionals with respect to significant IRS controversies and alternate dispute resolution processes
• Research, prepare and advise on significant private letter rulings
• Review tax memoranda and tax opinions
• Instruct internal firm courses and author articles related to IRS practice, procedure, and dispute resolution issues
• Evaluate articles and other risk management activities

Qualifications:

• Minimum eight years of recent corporate tax experience in an accounting firm, the Internal Revenue Service, corporation and/or law firm
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
• Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMG's approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
• Excellent advisory and research skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information
