This assignment requires the candidate to work night shifts, providing direct patient care within a 12-bed unit specializing in childbirth and maternal care. The role involves circulating for cesarean sections, adhering to unit policies, and maintaining a high level of clinical excellence. Job Details Shift Time: Nights Shift Hours: 12 Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License, 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Preferred Qualifications: RNC (Registered Nurse Certified), Meditech experience, and advanced skills. Responsibilities: Circulate for cesarean sections, ensure compliance with dress code and body art policies, assist in patient documentation and care activities, collaborate with a team including unit techs and secretaries, and support clinical procedures specific to labor and delivery. Certifications: Active Texas RN license is required. Additional Information: The unit maintains a staffing ratio of 2:1, with 1 unit tech per shift and 1 secretary on day shifts. Documentation is completed using Meditech. The facility has a floating policy and specific attendance requirements.
