This full-time position is located near Fort Worth, TX, in the North Richlands area, serving a diverse and dynamic school community. Professionals with experience in school-based occupational therapy, home health, and healthcare settings will thrive in this experiential role.
You’ll collaborate with educators and families to help students build critical fine and gross motor skills while promoting independence in daily school activities. If you are passionate about supporting student success and have an active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in Texas, this could be the perfect fit.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license (required)
- Prior experience in schools, home health, or pediatric healthcare settings preferred
- Strong understanding of fine and gross motor development in children
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individualized intervention plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and students
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ motor and sensory needs within the school setting
- Design and carry out individualized therapy interventions
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Consult with teachers and families to support classroom and home adaptations
- Collaborate with IEP teams to set meaningful, achievable therapy goals
- Provide in-service training and resources to staff as needed
