Director, Patient Services Operations, Rare Endocrinology & Tumor

Director-level role overseeing patient services operations and case management for rare endocrinology and tumor therapies at AstraZeneca. Manages a team to ensure compliant, patient-centered support across injectable, oral, and infused treatments while partnering with specialty pharmacies and stakeholders to optimize patient access and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the RERT Case Management team; set performance standards and foster inclusive, high-performing culture
• Direct case management operations and workflow development across multiple therapy types and optimize processes for new products and market changes
• Oversee specialty pharmacy and external vendor performance, including service-level management and continuous improvement activities
• Drive operational readiness for new products and indications by translating plans into workflows, timelines, and training requirements
• Use data and stakeholder feedback to identify operational inefficiencies, improve patient and provider experience, and monitor key performance metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.)
• 5-7 years of case management operations experience in pharmaceutical industry
• 2-5 years of first-line or second-line people management experience
• Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy benefits, prior authorization, and specialty pharmacy coordination
• Demonstrated vendor and external partner management with performance oversight capabilities
• Proficiency with operational data, dashboards, and performance metrics
• Expertise in health insurance benefits, billing, coding, and relevant regulations

Compensation: $149,375.20 - $224,062.80 USD annual base
