Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15), Every Other Weekend Required.

Job Description

The Orthopedic Med/Surg RN will provide comprehensive care in a surgical unit with a focus on orthopedics and joints. Responsibilities include managing patient care for conditions such as total knee replacements, total hip replacements, and spinal fusions. You will need to utilize strong assessment and critical thinking skills to monitor and support post-operative recovery. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adults and geriatrics in a surgical setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to any changes.
• Administer IV therapy and manage peripheral lines.
• Provide respiratory support including non-invasive airway management.
• Execute isolation precautions and use PPE as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Ortho experience required.
• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation experience necessary.
• Ability to float to other units as needed.
