Youth Development CoordinatorUnder the supervision of the Youth Development Director, the Youth Development Coordinator oversees youth sports and youth development programming at the branch. This position develops and implements engaging, age-appropriate program curricula and is responsible for supervising, scheduling, and training part-time staff, as well as providing direct program instruction. We are welcoming and open to all; genuine in valuing individuality; hopeful in believing in each person's potential; nurturing in supporting personal growth; and determined in our commitment to strengthening the communities we serve.Essential Functions:Serve as a positive, professional role model for youth participating in YMCA programs.Oversee youth sports and youth development program planning, curriculum development, scheduling, registration, implementation, and evaluation.Provide timely, clear, and professional communication to participants and families before and during programs; share relevant program updates with branch and Association staff.Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and members to develop high-quality programs aligned with the YMCA's mission and core values.Identify opportunities to collaborate with local schools, community organizations, and other partners to expand access to facilities, services, and programming.Explore new program opportunities and potential funding sources to support youth development initiatives.Provide friendly, courteous, and responsive service while building positive professional relationships with participants, families, staff, partner organizations, and the community.Promote and maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and inclusive environment for participants, staff, and visitors.Attend branch and Association meetings as assigned or requested.Maintain current knowledge of YMCA policies and procedures, risk management standards, safety practices, and applicable laws and regulations.Supervise, schedule, train, and support part-time program staff, and provide direct instruction as needed.Perform other related duties as assigned.G YMCA Employee Benefits:Tuition Reimbursement: Up to $1,000 per year.Post University Tuition Discount: 50% off tuition.FREE YMCA Membership: Valued at $750 annually.Childcare Discounts: Available to eligible employees; discounts vary by full-time or part-time status.Program Discounts: Savings on swim lessons, summer camp, sports, and other YMCA programs.Paid Time Off: Available to eligible employees.Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance: Available to full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
