Yard ManagerBig C Lumber is currently seeking a Yard Manager for our Fort Wayne, IN lumber yard. This is a full-time position with benefits, annual salary between $50,000-$70,000.We are currently building a brand-new Big C Lumber facility near the US 30 and I-69 interchange, giving you the opportunity to join our team as we expand our presence in the Fort Wayne market. This is an exciting time to become part of Big C Lumber and help us build something new in the community!Yard Manager Essential Functions:Personnel management and trainingInvoice delivery tickets and transfersEnsure accuracy of all incoming and outgoing freightMaintain inventoryMaintain a clean and well-organized yardReceive all materialsAid with loading and unloading trucksEducation/Experience:High school diploma or GED preferredValid driver's license—minimum Chauffeur/For-Hire EndorsementAbility to obtain CDL B if needed3 years' experience in industry preferredKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:Self-motivation, leadership skills, team playerAbility to accurately and rapidly meet deadlinesAttention to detailAbove average knowledge of equipment and materialsAbility to occasionally lift and carry up to 80lbsAbility to stand and sit for long periods of timesAbility to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh and extreme weather conditionsAbility to coordinate as well as work in a teamAbility to adapt to in-house softwareBasic computer skills and knowledgeEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
