Truck Driver

Transports scrap material via commercial roll off or end dump tractor/trailer from customer locations or other Sims yards to designated locations per dispatch.

Prepare receipts/shipping reports for all loads picked up.

Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.

Maintain hands-free telephone contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.

Transport material to and from assigned locations via roll off or end dump.

Load and unload truck with forklift.

Inspects truck equipment daily and truck supplies such as, but not limited to tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, DEF etc.

Properly secure load with blocks, dunnage, tarps and/or ties and straps.

Help identify materials as needed.

Maintain a clean and safe truck cab.

Adhere to FMCSA regulations.

Other duties as assigned including yard duties.

Valid Class A driver's license.

No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years.

No DWI/DUI in last 10 years.

2+ years' commercial driving experience required.

Forklift certified.

Flatbed experience.

Roll off experience.

High school diploma/GED required.

Must pass 7-year criminal background check, DOT physical, and drug/alcohol screen.
