Meet the Team at Dexcom At Dexcom, our Test Lab team is at the forefront of ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of the equipment that supports the development and manufacturing aof life-changing Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology. Equipment Technician III As an Equipment Technician III, you will serve as a senior technical resource, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to solve complex equipment challenges, drive reliability improvements, and support innovative solutions that help improve the lives of people living with diabetes. Where You Come In You will serve as the primary technical expert for assigned Test Lab equipment and systems. You will independently troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, electronic modules, instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, power distribution systems, and test equipment. You will perform advanced root cause analysis of equipment failures and lead troubleshooting efforts for complex and recurring issues. You will interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and system documentation to diagnose failures and implement effective corrective actions. You will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, Reliability, and Operations teams to support equipment investigations and improvement projects. You will lead equipment recovery efforts during critical downtime events and provide technical guidance to technicians and cross‑functional partners. You will identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, safety, and performance. You will support equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, validation, and decommissioning activities. You will develop, revise, and improve maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, equipment binders, and technical documentation. You will analyze equipment performance data and maintenance history to identify trends and drive sustainable corrective actions. You will support calibration activities and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements. You will provide technical mentorship, coaching, and knowledge sharing to Equipment Technician I and II team members. You will assist Engineering with equipment modifications, upgrades, prototype builds, evaluations, and special projects. You will support spare parts management activities and recommend critical spare strategies for key equipment. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem solving methodologies and data‑driven decision‑making. You will ensure compliance with safety requirements, GMP, GDP, LOTO procedures, and company policies. You will perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned. What Makes You Successful You have advanced knowledge of electrical systems, electronic assemblies, instrumentation, sensors, and diagnostic equipment. You have demonstrated success independently troubleshooting and resolving complex equipment issues with minimal supervision. You have the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical documentation. You have experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing effective long-term corrective actions. You have experience utilizing CMMS systems such as Maximo or similar maintenance management software. You have strong organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills. You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively support a dynamic engineering and laboratory environment. You have an associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or a related field, preferred. You have experience supporting laboratory, reliability, validation, manufacturing, or engineering development environments, preferred. You have experience troubleshooting electronic modules, PCB assemblies, instrumentation systems, and test equipment, preferred. You have proficiency with oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other electronic diagnostic tools, preferred. You have experience supporting qualification, validation, and calibration activities in a regulated environment, preferred. You have knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering principles, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), and continuous improvement methodologies, preferred. You have experience working with data acquisition systems and test methodologies, preferred. You bring a proactive approach to solving technical challenges and driving equipment reliability improvements. Your ability to mentor others, collaborate across functions, and lead complex troubleshooting efforts helps strengthen team capability and operational performance.
