Bow Tie Plumbing & Rooter is a family-owned plumbing company seeking an experienced Residential and Commercial Plumbing Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, professional plumber who takes pride in their workmanship, communicates well with customers, and can confidently diagnose and complete a wide range of plumbing repairs and installations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose residential, commercial, and property-management plumbing issues
• Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, installations, and maintenance
• Perform drain cleaning and common sewer and drain repairs
• Repair and replace water heaters, tankless water heaters, toilets, faucets, fixtures, garbage disposals, valves, and other plumbing components
• Repair and replace water, gas, drain, waste, and vent piping
• Perform sewer camera inspections, hydro jetting, and other plumbing services when qualified
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, tenants, property managers, commercial clients, and office staff
• Explain plumbing problems honestly and provide appropriate repair options
• Complete accurate job documentation, including before-and-after photos and materials used
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle and work area
• Follow company procedures and all applicable plumbing and safety codes
• Treat customers, tenants, and their property with care and respect
• Take ownership of service calls from initial diagnosis through completion
• Deliver excellent customer service on every call

• Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience operating your own plumbing service truck or van
• Strong residential and commercial service and repair plumbing experience
• Ability to diagnose and complete common plumbing repairs independently
• Experience using professional drain-cleaning and sewer equipment
• Knowledge of current plumbing codes and proper installation practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer-service skills
• Critical thinking and complex problem-solving abilities
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Strong active-listening and equipment-monitoring skills
• Professional appearance and conduct
• Valid California driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely lift plumbing equipment and work in crawlspaces, attics, and other confined areas
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Willing and available to participate in an on-call rotation and work weekends as scheduled
