A day in this role — Minneapolis, MN

Picture starting your shift by reviewing a work order and blueprint, mapping out the exact finish and tolerances required for a batch of metal components. You select the right setup on a manual grinder, prep the belt sander for edges, and line up the ID grinder for internal surfaces. Through the day, you move between machines, fine-tuning speeds and feeds to achieve a smooth, consistent finish. Each part gets your full attention: you inspect, deburr, and verify against specifications before sending it downstream. You keep your cell tidy, log routine maintenance, and check in with teammates to hit the day’s production goals—all while following safety protocols to the letter.

What you’ll do

• Operate grinding and deburring equipment to finish metal parts to exact specifications.
• Inspect completed components for quality and conformance to prints.
• Keep your work area organized and safe to maximize efficiency.
• Coordinate with team members to meet daily and weekly output targets.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep machines in peak condition.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
