Pay: $16–$19/hour (based on experience)

About the Role

Get Well Clinic is looking for a motivated, professional Front Desk Team Lead to guide daily front office operations at our Humble location. A Medical Assistant background is ideal , but we are also excited to train a candidate who holds a bachelor's degree and is looking to transition into healthcare . We've found that driven, degreed professionals bring strong organization, communication, and leadership skills that translate well into a clinical front office — and we're willing to invest in the right person.

This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the tone for patient experience, support and coordinate the front desk team, and grow with us as you learn our systems and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the front desk team, setting the standard for professionalism and patient care
• Greet and check in patients in a warm, welcoming manner
• Answer and manage incoming phone calls while working within our computer systems
• Process patient payments accurately
• Facilitate and take telemedicine calls over the phone
• Enter and update patient medical history and maintain documentation in the electronic charting system
• Help coordinate daily front office operations and workflow
• Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and running efficiently

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR Medical Assistant certification/experience (Medical Assistant background preferred)
• A genuine interest in building a career in healthcare
• Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to our EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system
• Familiarity with current AI tools such as ChatGPT, and a willingness to use them appropriately in a professional setting
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with strong accuracy
• Strong multitasking ability — comfortably handling phone calls and computer/charting work at the same time
• Leadership qualities: dependable, organized, and able to set a positive example for the team
• Professional, friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule

Preferred

• Prior leadership or team lead experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred

Note: This position does not require insurance verification experience. Full training will be provided for the right candidate transitioning into healthcare.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. No weekends.
