Senior Underwriter
Ready to take your mortgage underwriting career to the next level? Our client, a Texas based, privately owned commercial bank, is expanding their retail residential mortgage lending operations and their team. We are looking for a Senior Underwriter who has deep underwriting expertise with certifications (DE/LAPP/SAR).
Your Impact
As a Senior Underwriter, you won't just be checking boxes. You will:
- Handle FHA, VA, conforming, USDA, and bond/grant programs.
- Act as a go-to resource for loan officers and processors to help structure complex files.
- Ensure minimal turn times while maintaining "zero-defect" quality standards.
Job Requirements
- FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) with an active CHUMS ID
- VA Supervised Automatic Review (SAR) with an active VA SAR ID
- Lender Appraisal Processing Program (LAPP) certification
- 5+ years of recent mortgage underwriting experience
- Expertise in AUS systems (DU/LPA)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining a collaborative team player
