Adjunct Faculty, Traditional Undergraduate Program, Psychology Department The Psychology Department at Mount Saint Mary's University, Los Angeles, offers Baccalaureate, Master's and Doctoral degrees across two campuses. One campus, Chalon, is on the Westside of Los Angeles while Doheny is near downtown Los Angeles. This opportunity is within the TUG program, which teaches primarily traditionally college-age women in a traditional M‑F, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. format. Most classes are in‑person on one of our two campuses in Los Angeles. The TUG psychology program seeks to attract and retain highly qualified faculty that share the University's and program's values. General Responsibilities Teach assigned classes under the supervision of the Psychology Department Chair and TUG Program Director. Create a syllabus and course timeline for students each semester and post it online before class starts. Help students fulfill their maximum potential in mastering course content. Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning. Guide students through their studies using active collaboration and active learning techniques. Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilize rubrics effectively to assess student learning outcomes, and acknowledge student accomplishments. Manage the online grading system weekly and utilize current technology in the performance of job duties. Submit grades in a timely fashion. Maintain a thorough and up‑to‑date subject‑matter expertise in regular teaching field. Maintain standards of professional conduct and ethics appropriate to the professional position.
