Structural Angle Processing CNC Operator
You arrive at our Denham Springs, LA partner facility just before sunrise. By 6:00 a.m., the CNC angle line hums to life. Your mission is clear: transform raw angle stock into precise parts that match print—cut, punched, and marked—ready for downstream fabrication. You’ll guide production through 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday (hours subject to change), earning $20/hour as part of an Evaluation Hire path to full-time employment with our client.

About the opportunity

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is partnering with a local client to hire a dependable, detail-driven CNC angle line operator who is comfortable around steel fabrication, computers, overhead cranes, and forklifts.

A day in the role

Prepare: Pull the correct steel angles for each order and load them using overhead cranes/forklifts.
Program & set up: Use computer interfaces to locate required angles and enter punch, cut, and mark specifications from blueprints.
Run production: Operate and maintain the CNC angle line to produce components that meet exact specs.
Validate quality: Inspect finished parts for accuracy and finish before release.
Keep it moving: Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
Own your space: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly area throughout the shift.

What you bring

Experience working with and around steel; strong familiarity with production equipment.
Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely.
Comfort with computers and translating documentation/blueprints into machine-ready instructions.
Excellent organization, attention to detail, and solid analytical/problem-solving skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (subject to change)
Pay: $20/hour
