Operations and Communications Manager

The Role

Reporting to the President, you’ll be at the heart of our operations and communications, helping us translate strategic objectives into operational success, overseeing the development and implementation of efficient internal systems, and ensuring that our programs run smoothly. You’ll manage program logistics, vendor relationships, internal systems, and social media strategy, and support our development program. You’ll also be the point person for integrating AI into our various workflows—realizing efficiencies while staying true to our relational and community principles.

What You’ll Do

Program Operations

• Event Coordination: You’ll work closely with the Executive Director to manage logistics and operations for our LEADS programs, which include full-day and multi-day events for 50–100+ leaders at a time.
• Vendor Liaison: You’ll build and maintain relationships with our vendors, ensuring smooth contract management and top-notch service for all our events and operations.

Systems & Capacity Building

• Project Management: You’ll implement task and project management tools to streamline event management and support larger strategic efforts.
• Workforce Training Funds: You’ll develop and manage a process for qualifying and securing state tuition reimbursement, helping us maximize available resources.
• Fundraising Systems: You’ll support our emerging development program, tracking funder and prospect information, and capturing the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities that advance their connection to LEADS.

Organizational Management

• Systems: You’ll enhance and manage our internal systems for shared process and documentation, ensuring everyone is on the same page and operations run smoothly.
• Database: You’ll maintain our internal CRM to track our growing network of funders and partners, keeping connections strong and organized. You’ll become the content expert of our CRM platform.
• Tech: You’ll oversee and standardize technology use across the organization, ensuring our team has the best tools to succeed.

Events Management

• Program Production: You’ll run point on everything from venue selection and catering coordination to room setup and overall logistics for one- to two-day program modules hosted for groups of 40–150 leaders.
• Fundraising Events: You’ll help develop and implement logistics for fundraising events, ranging from informal house parties to highly produced galas.

Communications

• Social Media: You’ll work directly with our Chief Advancement Officer to develop and manage social media protocols across all channels, create content, and tell an effective story in the LEADS brand voice to enhance our online presence and engagement.
• Newsletters: You’ll produce regular newsletters for our community.

Team & Culture

• Team Meetings: You’ll support our growing team in a variety of ways—managing agendas, scheduling and co-facilitating meetings, coordinating co-working days, and contributing to a strong, collaborative, and positive organizational culture in a rapidly growing, fast-paced environment.
