Job Summary We are seeking a local detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator in the Plumbing & HVAC field to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and contribute to successful project execution. This role requires a keen knowledge of the Plumbing and HVAC industry. It also requires that the candidate be LOCAL to our office and our customer base.

Responsibilities

• Ability to analyze a project by physically observing sites or by drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, gather data and measurements, and ensure accurate estimates.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Prepare detailed proposals to present to project managers or customers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to enhance estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must be Local to our office and our customer base.
• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Plumbing & HVAC industry related licenses or work history is a plus.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with cost control measures and pricing strategies in the construction industry.
• Previous experience on construction sites is preferred to understand practical aspects of projects.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate estimation processes.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with suppliers, GCs, subcontractors, and residential home owners .
• Ability to multi-task and provide estimates in a timely manner.
