Pod B (on the second floor) contains 16 beds. Number of Beds - 28 Number of Staff 42 Type of staff: Day Shift 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census/acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0900-2100 Night Shift - 1 charge, number of nurses depends on census/acuity, critical care tech staffed 6 days a week, 0900-2100 Patient Ratios Typically 1:2, can be 1:1 or 1:3 depending on acuity -Estimated ratios, not guaranteed Type of equipment Pyxis, Plum Pump IVs, GE bedside monitors, Nelcor, Artic Sun, Sub Zero EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital ICU experience BLS, ACLS & NIH Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. TNCC Meditech experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Neuro surgical, Trauma (level III, going to level II this year), cardiac arrest, resp arrest, ETOH/Drug WD, all vented patients come to the ICU at our facility. Variety of nursing staff in terms of years of experience, some have been here 20+ years. We just opened our new 12 bed ICU expansion to allow us to care for 28 ICU patients. Will undergo level II trauma survey this year. Our Intensivists are 24/7 and are the best doctors I have worked with in my 18 year of nursing.
