Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $29.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking an experienced and patient-focused LVN II to support a leading healthcare system in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for an LVN who is skilled in clinical support, patient care, and care coordination and enjoys working in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and quality patient care within the scope of practice defined by the Texas Nurse Practice Act.

   

• Assist physicians and registered nurses with medical procedures and patient care activities.

   

• Administer medications and tests and obtain and document patient vital signs.

   

• Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures.

   

• Collect clinical information to support RNs, APPs, and physicians with patient telephone calls and treatment-related requests.

   

• Provide patients with appropriate information and coordinate referrals and treatment authorizations.

   

• Accurately document patient care and services in the electronic medical record.

   

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe clinical and treatment areas.

   

• Stock and order treatment room supplies as needed.

   

• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.

   

• Participate in team problem-solving and support a positive, professional work environment.

   

• Perform other duties as assigned.

   

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

   

• Graduation from an approved Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.

   

• Minimum 2 years of relevant LVN/LPN experience required.

   

• Current Texas LVN/LPN license required.

   

• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.

   

• Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills.

   

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment.
