Procedural Endoscopy RN - Patient Care Leader

Location: Baylor Scott and White Medical Center Frisco at PGA Parkway Department: Endoscopy Lab Shift: PRN Days, M-F, 8-hour or 12 shifts, one shift a week Job Summary As a Procedural Registered Nurse, work as a licensed professional using the nursing practice model to oversee patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses, and developing personalized care plans. Regularly assess patient responses. Contributions help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the system. This prevents complications and delays. Delegate tasks based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills. Essential Functions of the Role Use careful clinical judgment to assess patients and prioritize their needs. Create and adjust care plans for better outcomes. Monitor and evaluate nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness, including tracking indicators, making evidence-based adjustments, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Teach patients and staff; integrate education into care at all levels. Use systems thinking to solve problems for patients, families, and staff, thereby enhancing the nursing practice and work environment. Key Success Factors Deep understanding of nursing, patient care standards, and procedures. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and professional standards, including certification and accreditation requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to monitor patients’ health and communicate changes efficiently to staff and providers. Commitment to delivering patient-centered care that honors diversity. Qualifications Accredited nursing program, minimum of 2 years of experience. Registered Nurse (RN) license.
