Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift hospital position requiring 2+ years of recent critical care experience.

Details

• Community hospital setting with 396 staffed beds
• Respiratory Care unit supporting adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care patients
• Patient ratio of 1:8
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 6:45pm-7:15am
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Must be able to float to all areas of the hospital, including labor and delivery
• No on-call requirement
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Recent critical care experience required
• RRT certification required (CRT not accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• South Carolina RCP license required in hand at time of start
• License required if applicable
• Epic EMR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform respiratory care duties including ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway management
• Support high-risk deliveries and NICU/pediatric respiratory needs
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care
• Administer nebulizer treatments and various respiratory medications
• Caribbean Blue scrub color required
• Free parking available
• Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• First-time travelers not accepted for this role
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
• Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
