Founded in 1982, FORS is a six-attorney law firm located in Downtown, Coral Gables, which focuses its practice on business and real estate litigation, as well as other disputes that arise out of owning a business or real estate. Fors also maintaines a busy corporate and transactional practice. Sub-areas include healthcare, estate planning, and outside general counsel work. The firm's clients are mainly businesses, business owners, developers, landlords, physicians and practice groups, and individual investors. JOB DESCRIPTION Litigation attorney, capable of serving as lead counsel, setting strategy and litigating cases through completion. On-site and in-person at Coral Gables office. The work involves handling business and real estate disputes from the pre-suit demand through resolution, including pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive and pretrial motions, along with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation. The attorney selected has the opportunity to manage a caseload with substantial independence, supported by a partner on every matter, and to take on significant responsibility. This role also affords the opportunity to develop certain transactional skills, including contract negotiation, drafting, and review. REQUIREMENTS 3 to 10 years of experience, though strong candidates outside that range will be considered. Admission to the Florida Bar and good standing, with no pending disciplinary matters. Excellent research and writing. PREFERRED Fluent in Spanish. Proficiency in Clio practice management system and Microsoft 365. Responsibly embraces and leverages artificial intelligence.
