Safety Specialist

The Safety Specialist supports project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and a strong culture of safety is upheld. This role will focus on general industry environments, with emphasis on sterilization processes and equipment safety.

1. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RIDEM, and local safety regulations.
2. Conduct risk assessments and JHAs for sterilization processes and equipment.
3. Monitor ventilation, chemical handling, and exposure limits in sterilization areas.
4. Deliver safety training to employees working near sterilization systems.
5. Partner with engineering and operations to embed safety into new installations.
6. Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
7. Maintain documentation and safety metrics to support audits and inspections.

Qualifications

• 57 years of EHS experience in general industry or regulated manufacturing.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of EHS standards, chemical safety, and hazard control.
• Experience in incident investigations and delivering safety training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.

Pay Range

$115,000-125,000
