Senior Managing Associate General Counsel, Real Estate Development The Legal and Government Affairs team at CoreWeave is seeking a senior legal leader to drive complex “dirt‑to‑data‑center” development projects across North America. This leadership role will partner with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams—including Development, Design, Construction, Power, Finance, Operations, and Government Affairs—to structure and execute large‑scale infrastructure projects in a rapidly scaling environment. Responsibilities include advising on commercial real estate transactions, construction and development agreements, permitting and entitlement matters, financing structures, regulatory risk management, and supporting relationships with developers, contractors, architects, consultants, government entities, and external counsel. In This Role Provide legal and strategic guidance across all phases of large‑scale data center development projects, from site selection and land acquisition through construction and operational delivery Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial real estate and construction‑related agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, construction management agreements, and design and engineering agreements Partner closely with Development, Construction, Design, Operations, Power, Finance, and Government Affairs teams to support project execution and infrastructure growth initiatives Advise on zoning, entitlement, permitting, environmental review, and other regulatory matters impacting infrastructure development projects Support transaction structuring and execution across complex real estate, development, and infrastructure matters Manage relationships with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, government entities, and external counsel Translate complex legal and business issues into practical, actionable guidance for cross‑functional stakeholders and senior leadership Develop scalable legal processes and frameworks to support CoreWeave’s continued growth and expanding infrastructure footprint Who You Are J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school and active admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction 12+ years of relevant legal experience supporting complex commercial real estate development, construction, real estate structuring (JVs), and related financing matters Significant experience leading large‑scale ground‑up development projects from land acquisition through operational delivery Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating: Purchase and sale agreements Development agreements Construction management agreements General contractor and subcontractor agreements Design and engineering agreements Experience partnering directly with architects, engineers, general contractors, developers, and government entities Experience managing site due diligence, permitting, and regulatory compliance matters Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives involving legal, development, construction, and operational stakeholders Strong judgment, communication skills, and ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment Executive presence and experience advising senior leadership on strategic infrastructure and regulatory matters Proven ability to manage outside counsel and external consultants while balancing legal risk and business priorities Preferred Experience supporting data center, digital infrastructure, or large‑scale energy development projects In‑house legal experience at a technology, infrastructure, or hyperscale organization Policy or government affairs initiatives related to infrastructure expansion Experience building scalable legal and operational processes for rapidly growing organizations Fit Considerations You enjoy leading complex, high‑impact infrastructure projects You’re curious about the evolving intersection of AI, digital infrastructure, and public policy You thrive in environments where you can influence both strategy and execution You bring a practical, solutions‑oriented mindset to legal and business challenges You communicate effectively with executives, external stakeholders, and cross‑functional partners You enjoy building scalable processes in fast‑growing organizations Compensation Base salary range: $177,000 to $237,000. Final compensation will be based on role‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and may include a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
