Required Skills:


Three (3) years' experience with Infrastructure as Code in AWS or Azure


Five (5) years' experience with Git & code pipelines


Five (5) years' experience with Automation tools such as Ansible.


Five (5) years' experience with Cloud based Disaster Recovery methods


Scope:


The consultant is expected to have in-depth technical knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS), hybrid clouds, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation. The consultant must have strong background in supporting and implementing the complex and dynamic changing cloud environment. The consultant will be heavily involved in the design, development, deployment, maintenance, and operations of a disaster recovery solution for our AWS, using IaC methodologies. The consultant will be helping Client in building a cloud Infrastructure in both AWS fully defined using, CloudFormation, AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and Ansible to support Disaster Recovery.


Responsibilities:


Provide one more design for an Infrastructure as code pipeline appropriate for Client Cloud Services, providing the ability to quickly add, decommission, change and maintain features and services needed by program units. Client will select the appropriate design.


Document the design approved by Client and obtain approval from the contract manage for the design.


On an ongoing basis through the end of the contact provide training for the IaC fundamentals and propose enhancement to the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipeline that fit Client needs.


On an ongoing basis through the end of the contract identify, design, test and deploy automation and self-service features that allow business partners to quickly deploy new applications services and features accelerating application delivery. Automation solutions must use IaC base methods that are sustainable by the Cloud Services Team.


Provide unit quality assurance testing and User acceptance testing for any automation and self-service solutions


Update and enhance solutions as the needs are identified.


Contract manager will approve all solutions before being released to production.


Cloud Backup\Recovery and Disaster Recovery (BRDR)


Provide one or more designs, for cloud based BRDR that meet the business continuity plan and use IaC methods.


Test and deploy approved cloud BRDR designs using IaC methods.


On an ongoing basis though the life of the contact provides enhancements to the BRDR solution that ensure service availability to new cloud systems and services as they are deployed and changed.


Cloud Service Deployment


On an ongoing basis though the life of the contract develops, test and deploy AWS services as requested by Client units.


AWS services must meet requirements provided by the Client team members, use IaC methods and be approved by the heiring manager.
