This approach focuses on smaller patient panels, longer appointments, preventive care, and strong provider–patient relationships. The Family Nurse Practitioner will evaluate patients, diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions, and provide preventive care and health education for individuals and families. Responsibilities include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications according to Michigan scope of practice, and performing minor in‑office procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care. This role also requires delivering culturally competent, bilingual care in English and Spanish to support diverse communities and promote health literacy.
