Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position in the nightshift is available for a healthcare professional with at least two years of strong cardiac and telemetry experience. The role involves caring for patients post-cardiac procedures such as heart caths, ablations, and pacemakers, with a focus on heart rhythm interpretation, managing drips, and critical patient assessments. The position is based in a facility that offers a patient-centered environment with a capable leadership team and requires flexibility to float within skillsets and campuses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Must have a current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certification. A minimum of two years of recent cardiac/telemetry experience, including previous travel assignments and trauma level II experience. Recent Electronic Patient Health Record (EPIC) charting experience is required, including the ability to pass a telemetry test.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to interpret 12-lead EKGs; experience with post-procedure cardiac care, chest tubes, and central line management; detox/CIWA protocol experience.
• On-Call/Call Back Requirement: Not applicable.
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule, alternating holidays.
• Additional Information: The unit has 34 beds with patient ratios of 1:4-5 during day shift and 1:6-7 during night shift. Responsibilities include high-level assessments, critical thinking, and safe management of cardiac and telemetry patients. A Navy blue scrub dress code applies. The healthcare provider is expected to manage change effectively and potentially precept students and new hires. Covid-19 vaccination is not required.
