Part Time Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements reconciliations and reporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support month end close activities by analyzing accounts recording transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Review accounting activity and provide guidance to team members to maintain quality and consistency.
• Assist with audit preparation by organizing documentation responding to requests and supporting financial reporting needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes workflows and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor degree in accounting finance or a related field preferred.
• Bring strong accounting experience with expertise in financial reporting reconciliations and close processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and ability to apply them in a practical business environment.
• Possess experience working with enterprise accounting systems and advanced Excel functions.
• Operate independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote and fast paced setting.

Qualifications:

• Maintain exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills when reviewing financial information.
• Communicate effectively with finance leadership auditors and cross functional business partners.
• Support and review work completed by junior accounting staff while promoting accuracy and development.
• Adapt quickly to changing business needs and contribute with minimal supervision or training.
• Bring audit support experience professional certification or experience with large accounting systems considered beneficial.
