Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience worked in the last 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Favorite Healthcare Program - University of Kansas.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg experience in the last 18 months in a hospital setting. - Must have experience in General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecological, Urology, and Orthopedics. - Must have experience with medical diagnoses including cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones. - Experience with Heparin drips, TPN, PCAs, and ability to measure and interpret a telemetry rhythm.

Unit / Facility Details: - Orientation Requirements: THP will attend the fist 2 days of orientation at the KUKC Campus, on day 3 THP will attend Olathe orientation and Director of Nursing training, Day 4 Olathe Director of Nursing training, Day 5 THP will attend virtual Epic training

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend required. - No call. - Holidays based on unit needs.

Floating Requirements: - Will float to all acute care units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
