Shipping CoordinatorThe Shipping Coordinator oversees and executes the end-to-end shipping and logistics process for outbound and select inbound operations. This role serves as the primary point of coordination for shipment planning, carrier scheduling, documentation accuracy, and process compliance. The Shipping Coordinator ensures timely, cost-effective, and accurate delivery of all products while driving consistency, training, and continuous improvement across shipping operations.Reports to: Warehouse Manager Supervisory Responsibilities: May provide day-to-day direction, training, and workflow oversight to Shipping Clerks and warehouse support staff (non-direct supervisory role)Primary Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage all outbound shipments, including order prioritization, carrier selection, scheduling, and documentationServe as the central point of contact for shipping-related communication across Operations, Service, Sales, Customer Service, and external carriersEnsure all shipments (orders, RMAs, transfers, and project-related materials) are processed accurately and meet required deadlinesMonitor shipment status, proactively resolve delays or discrepancies, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholdersReview and validate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and international shipping paperworkMaintain compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs and hazardous materials requirements when applicableIdentify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and control shipping costsSupport and coordinate inbound shipments as needed, including receiving, verification, and system updatesMaintain accurate shipping and inventory records in systems such as NetSuite, IntelliTrack, and related ERP/WMS platformsLead shipping-related training efforts, including onboarding new team members and reinforcing SOP adherence across the teamPartner with Warehouse Manager to establish and enforce shipping SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocolsAssist in inventory management activities, including cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepanciesCoordinate ordering and management of shipping supplies, materials, and packaging standardsProvide support for large-scale or multi-site deployment projects, ensuring logistics alignment and executionJob Competencies, Skills & Experience RequiredStrong knowledge of shipping, logistics coordination, and warehouse operationExperience managing outbound shipment processes, including carrier coordination and documentationWorking knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulationsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneouslyStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve shipping and logistics issues independentlyExperience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., NetSuite, IntelliTrack, or similar platforms)Effective communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teamsAbility to train others and reinforce standardized processesPreferredExperience in a high-volume or multi-site logistics environmentExposure to project-based shipping or deployment logisticsFamiliarity with freight optimization and cost control strategiesEnvironment and Normal Working Conditions Warehouse and office environment at the main Greensboro location. Core business hours are generally 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; however, this position may require flexibility, including work outside of normal business hours, based on operational demands and shipment schedules.Physical Requirements Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a warehouse and office setting, including communicating, seeing, and hearing to exchange information, and using a computer. Activities may include standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting. The employee may lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 25 pounds.
