Description
Plainfield Counseling Center LLC is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team in Plainfield. This part-time, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals seeking mental health support within our community.
As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic support and guidance to clients facing various mental health challenges. Your expertise will help foster emotional well-being and resilience among our clients, allowing them to navigate their personal journeys effectively. We offer a competitive hourly salary range of $46 - $50, along with a supportive work environment focused on professional development and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for clients
- Assess and evaluate clients’ mental health needs and goals
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Educate clients and families about mental health issues and resources
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
Requirements
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor or equivalent
- Experience working in a clinical or counseling setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care
- Understanding of various therapeutic modalities
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
