Senior Motion Graphics Designer

This role offers the opportunity to directly influence the growth of mobile games through high-quality, performance-driven creative content. You will create motion graphics, gameplay-focused ads, editorial videos, and high-volume creative variations for paid media campaigns. Working at the intersection of design, storytelling, video production, and performance marketing, you will turn creative concepts and campaign insights into compelling short-form content. Your work will help develop stronger hooks, communicate gameplay effectively, and create modular assets that can be tested, optimized, and scaled across advertising platforms. You will collaborate closely with creative leadership, user acquisition, design, and other stakeholders to align creative output with campaign objectives. The role combines hands-on production with continuous experimentation, requiring strong creative judgment and an understanding of performance data. You will work in a remote, collaborative environment with significant ownership, access to modern AI tools, and opportunities to expand your creative and strategic impact.

Accountabilities

• Design and animate high-quality motion graphics for user acquisition, social media, and digital marketing campaigns using typography, transitions, visual effects, gameplay assets, UI elements, and graphic design.
• Edit gameplay captures, promotional footage, AI-generated content, voiceovers, music, and sound effects into engaging short-form advertising videos.
• Apply strong editorial principles, including pacing, timing, rhythm, composition, and visual storytelling, to create compelling narratives and effective opening hooks.
• Develop new creative concepts as well as high-volume variations of existing ads, systematically testing hooks, messaging, gameplay moments, pacing, and visual treatments.
• Produce performance-driven video advertising creatives for platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, AppLovin, Moloco, and other digital advertising channels.
• Apply user acquisition and performance marketing best practices to improve creative effectiveness and campaign outcomes.
• Build organized, modular After Effects projects and reusable creative templates that enable rapid iteration and scalable production.
• Adapt creative assets across multiple aspect ratios, formats, placements, and platform requirements while maintaining visual consistency and production quality.
• Maintain well-organized project files, naming conventions, source assets, and final deliverables to support efficient collaboration and scalable workflows.
• Integrate AI tools into ideation, asset creation, editing, production, iteration, and creative adaptation while applying strong creative judgment to maintain quality and consistency.
• Monitor mobile advertising trends, competitor creatives, emerging creative technologies, social formats, and user acquisition best practices.
• Partner closely with creative leadership, user acquisition, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to align creative work with campaign objectives and share performance insights.
• Use campaign performance data and creative testing results to continuously refine future concepts and production strategies.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, video editing, digital advertising, performance marketing creative, or a related field, with experience producing user acquisition creatives for mobile games.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in motion design, editorial storytelling, gameplay advertising, and short-form video production.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop, with working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, visual hierarchy, compositing, pacing, rhythm, storytelling, music editing, sound design, and audio synchronization.
• Proven ability to combine gameplay footage, UI elements, typography, visual effects, sound, and graphic design into polished, performance-focused advertising creatives.
• Experience developing original creative concepts as well as high-volume iterations based on user acquisition testing methodologies and performance insights.
• Strong understanding of hook strategies, creative optimization, and performance marketing workflows.
• Experience creating organized, modular project files and reusable templates for efficient production and rapid creative iteration.
• Familiarity with paid media platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, AppLovin, and Moloco, as well as their creative requirements and advertising ecosystems.
• Understanding of performance metrics such as CTR, CPI, ROAS, conversion, retention, and hook performance.
• Experience using AI tools such as Adobe Firefly, Photoshop AI, ChatGPT, Claude, or comparable technologies to enhance creative workflows.
• Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently manage creative projects from concept through final delivery while maintaining high standards for quality and performance.
• Experience creating user acquisition creative for match-3, puzzle, casual, or hybrid-casual mobile games is a strong advantage.
• Experience with App Store screenshots, promotional graphics, App Store Optimization (ASO) assets, or other mobile game marketing materials is a plus.
• Familiarity with Unity or other gameplay capture tools, Cinema 4D, Blender, or comparable 3D software is beneficial.
• Experience with motion graphics plugins such as Trapcode, Saber, Element 3D, or similar tools is advantageous.
• Familiarity with generative AI platforms such as Runway, Midjourney, and other emerging creative technologies is a plus.
• Experience working directly with User Acquisition teams and applying campaign performance data, creative testing results, and user behavior insights to improve creative development is highly desirable.
