Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Enterprise Architect drives alignment between NCIS IT capabilities and DoD/DoN Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards. The Enterprise Architect ensures technology modernization, application rationalization, and cloud-readiness initiatives are coordinated across NCIS’s IT portfolio.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Minimum of8years ofexperiencein enterprise IT architecture, systems design, or IT strategic planning. 3+ years supporting federal or DoD enterprise architecture initiatives.

• In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture principles, application rationalization, data integration, and system interoperability.

• Familiar with DoD EA policies, DODAF Department of Defense Architecture Framework views, and system modernization strategies.

• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments. This includes the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civil agencies, and military organizations. Prior experience supporting the same or similar contract, with an in-depth understanding of the customer environment, requirements, and operational landscape, is highly desirable.

Certifications

• Certifications such as TOGAF, DODAF Department of Defense Architecture Framework , or FEAF Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework training strongly preferred.

• ITIL Foundation or PMP is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree inin Information Systems, engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Master’spreferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop andmaintainthe NCIS Enterprise Architecture roadmap.

• Align application modernization with DoD/DON architecture standards (e.g., DODAF Department of Defense Architecture Framework).

• Collaborate with data governance and cybersecurity teams on enterprise integration.

• Assess emerging technologies for NCIS mission applicability.

• Lead efforts toeliminateredundant tools and drive system consolidation.

• Support IT Portfolio Management and strategic IT investment planning.

• Ensure alignment of technical solutions with NCIS and ITD objectives.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $195,000 - $245,000. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees
