Electro Mechanical Assembler – 2nd Shift

2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

$ 21.50/hour

PDS Tech Commercial is hiring an experienced Electro Mechanical Assembler to support high-precision electronics manufacturing. In this role, you will assemble, inspect, test, and repair electro-mechanical components used in advanced electronic systems.

What You’ll Do

Assembly

• Build electro-mechanical assemblies from prints, schematics, and work instructions

• Perform soldering on PCBs, solder cups, and small/fragile components

• Strip, tin, crimp, twist, and terminate wires and connectors

• Set up and operate crimping presses and bench-top equipment

• Package finished assemblies and complete job tracking in ERP system

Inspection & Testing

• Inspect assemblies for quality, fit, and function

• Use measuring tools and test equipment to verify specifications

• Identify defects, perform rework, and document nonconformances

Team Support & Communication

• Work independently or as part of a production team

• Support and guide junior assemblers when needed

• Communicate issues and production status to leads and supervisors

Safety & Housekeeping

• Follow all safety and quality procedures (ISO standards)

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

What You Bring

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of assembly or manufacturing experience

• Strong soldering experience (PCBs, fine components, etc.)

• Ability to read prints, schematics, and work instructions

• Basic math and measurement skills (fractions, decimals, calipers, micrometers)

• Basic computer or ERP system experience

• IPC-A-610 or J-STD certification (current or expired acceptable)

Preferred

• Experience in ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 environments

• Wire harness or connector assembly experience

• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure

• Prior experience mentoring or training others

Physical Requirements

• Frequent use of hands for detailed assembly work

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout shift

• Lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Good vision for close-up inspection work (including color differentiation)

Pay Details: $21.50 per hour
