This position may be filled at the Technician, Senior Technician, or Master Technician level based on experience, qualifications, technical capabilities, and certifications.Senior and Master Technician positions may include coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership responsibilities.What You Will DoProvide all vehicle glass repair and replacement services at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop in the most efficient manner, focusing on safety, quality and exceptional customer service. Clean customer vehicles after every job.Recalibrating automotive safety systems, including trouble-shooting and completing diagnostic testing.Proficiently operate Safelite's tools and technologies, including: True Seal®, Ezi-Wire™, Glass Table System (GTS), chemicals (as required by the "Safelite Way of Fitting", work order and customer administration systems, and Safelite's handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology.Safely operate company and customer vehicles throughout the workday.Communicate with all scheduled customers in-person, via text, and on the phone; present, promote and sell Safelite promotional items and services to customers.Senior and Master Technician levels will serve as a technical resource, support technician development, share best practices, and assist with coaching and mentoring activities.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsWhat You'll GetTechnician: $24.00 - $26.50/hrSenior Technician: $26.50 - $29.50/hrMaster Technician: $29.00 - $32.25/hrA benefits package valued at more than $10k*. RequiredProven experience as an Auto Glass Technician (2+ years preferred)Experience QualificationsApplicants will be considered for Technician, Senior Technician, or Master Technician placement based on experience, technical capability, certifications, productivity, quality performance, leadership experience, and customer service excellence.Technician: Typically 1+ years of vehicle glass installation, repair, replacement, recalibration, or closely related automotive service experience.Senior Technician: Typically 3+ years of vehicle glass experience with demonstrated technical proficiency, quality performance, and independent operation.Master Technician: Typically 5+ years of vehicle glass experience with advanced technical expertise and demonstrated mentoring, coaching, or training capability.Experience ranges are intended as guidelines and may vary based on qualifications and business needs.Skills and AbilitiesAbility to regularly lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend and twist bodyAbility to use a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and effectivelyAbility to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with all federal, state and local laws and agreement to be monitored via in-cab vehicle safety camera / video surveillance technologyMaintains professionalism and passion for providing outstanding customer service and exceeding customer expectationsAbility to safely work outside (in a wide variety of weather conditions and extreme temperatures) for extended periodsAbility to work with chemicals (including but not limited to flammable chemicals), as applicable per the "Safelite Way of Fitting"Ability to work scheduled days, with flexibility on start and end times to accommodate customer's needsProficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools to complete recalibrations and trouble-shoot issuesProblem-solving and ability to trouble-shoot issues, independently and collaborativelyAbility to read, write and interpret the English language and technical directionsAbility to communicate orally (via phone) and written (via computer or other electronic means)Ability to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to Company uniform and PPE policiesWillingness and ability to maintain stable performance under professional or personal pressure and/or opposition (e.g., time pressure and productivity measures)Preferred AttributesPassion for craftsmanship and quality workInterest in emerging vehicle technology and ADAS systemsDesire to continue growing within the tradeInterest in mentoring others (Senior and Master levels)
