divh2Oral Health Educator/h2pThe Oral Health Educator will play a vital role in training Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) within Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) to understand the importance of oral health in patient care. This position focuses on equipping CNAs with the knowledge and skills to provide effective oral hygiene care, identify oral health issues, and promote preventative practices, especially for elderly and chronically ill patients./ph3Responsibilities:/h3ulliTraining Education: Deliver tailored workshops and training sessions for CNAs to improve oral health care practices in SNFs./liliResource Development: Create and distribute educational materials such as guides, checklists, and videos to support oral health care routines./liliCollaboration: Work closely with SNF leadership and healthcare teams to align oral health education with patient care protocols./liliOral Health Advocacy: Promote the importance of oral health in overall patient care, particularly for elderly residents with chronic conditions./liliSupport Guidance: Serve as a resource to CNAs, providing ongoing support and troubleshooting solutions for oral health challenges./liliEvaluation: Monitor the impact of educational programs and suggest improvements to enhance care delivery./li/ulh3Qualifications:/h3ulliCertification or degree in Dental Hygiene, Public Health, or a related field./liliExperience working in healthcare settings, preferably with elderly or chronically ill patients./liliKnowledge of oral hygiene practices, dental conditions, and preventative care strategies./liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with CNAs and healthcare teams./liliExperience in training or educational program development./li/ulh3Skills:/h3ulliAbility to present complex information in an accessible and engaging manner./liliEmpathy and understanding when addressing oral health challenges in vulnerable populations./liliOrganizational skills to manage multiple training sessions and create effective resources./liliFamiliarity with SNF workflows and CNA responsibilities./liliProficiency in data management analysis./liliRelevant background in public health./liliPrior experience with grant writing preferred./li/ul/div
