Radiologic Technologist-Part Time-Weekend-Day-Bellevue

Job Summary Provide radiology services to patients in accordance with physician orders. Ensure patient safety and provide high quality imaging. Prepare radiology rooms for patient procedures, develop images, maintain supply levels, and ensure diagnostic equipment is maintained and within manufacturer specifications. Operate equipment efficiently and safely, exercise professional judgment, and maintain a professional demeanor. Apply knowledge of growth and development principles to identify patient and family requirements. Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, communicate effectively, and maintain strict confidentiality. Essential Responsibilities Perform general and specialty radiographic images following clinical protocols, positioning patients to optimize image quality while respecting comfort. Obtain images using proper radiographic techniques and evaluate for technical quality, ensuring proper identification. Provide patient education for all age groups served, contact physicians for discrepancies, and follow policy for changing orders. Input patient information accurately into the electronic medical record and RIS, identify patients per policy, and monitor for allergy status and contrast reactions. Deliver timely, responsive service to patients, physicians, and staff, including scheduling, exam description, pain expectation, and preparation for procedures. Maintain safe radiation levels, perform equipment checks, and adhere to radiation safety rules and quality control activities. Manage shift responsibilities, maintain a clean radiology room, assist with training and orientation, participate in workflow monitoring, and rotate shifts and assignments as required. Basic Qualifications Experience: N/A Education: Graduate of an approved accredited radiologic technology program by time of hire. License, Certification, Registration: Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) required at hire. Basic Life Support required at hire. Additional Requirements Consistently demonstrates knowledge and expertise in performing required procedures and exams. Shows strong communication and problem‑solving skills to work effectively with physicians, customers, and co‑workers. Works well as a team member with providers across the KFHPW organization. Follows stringently radiation safety, safety precautions, and infection control practices. Commits to providing consistent excellent customer service. Supports the KFHPW strategy and mission statement. Communicates effectively with all populations, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric. Preferred Qualifications One year of direct experience with diagnostic procedures.
