Responsibilities
- Meet with families to arrange and conduct funeral and memorial services
- Prepare and embalm decedents in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Coordinate visitations, services, and graveside ceremonies
- Complete required documentation and compliance paperwork accurately
- Maintain preparation room standards and equipment
- Participate in removals on an on-call rotation
- Support team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture
Qualifications
- Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer (North Carolina license required or ability to reciprocate)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work evenings and participate in on-call rotation
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Commitment to high ethical standards and confidentiality
