Bill of Material Specialist

Summary/Objective:The Bill of Materials Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate and efficient BOM data to support production, planning, and operational performance. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product specifications, materials, and processes are correctly captured and aligned. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to proactively identify and resolve data or process discrepancies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions:Maintain and manage the Bill of Materials database, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all productsPerform high-volume, accurate data entry related to materials, specifications, and part numbersPartner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sales, and PE Technical Services to gather and validate product specificationsSupport production planning by maintaining engineering master data and ensuring BOM integrityIdentify and resolve discrepancies in materials, processes, or data to improve efficiency and profitabilityAssist with development and documentation of new processes, products, and production standardsParticipate in cross-functional workgroups to support continuous improvement initiativesPerforms other duties as assigned.Competencies and Qualifications:Adaptability: Responds effectively to change, shifting priorities, and evolving business and customer needs.
