Warehouse Department Lead - 3rd shift

We’re looking for a Warehouse Department Lead on 3rd shift to work at our Fond du Lac, WI headquarters and be part of our great team! What Moves You? The Role – What You’ll Do! This role helps us deliver high-quality play and playground equipment to communities around the world by: Daily Operations Planning: plan and set up work for your team prior to start of shift, manage email/Teams communications, staffing levels, and workload. Team Communication and Engagement: lead shift meetings (share safety topics, production goals/results, direction for the day), cross-department communication (work with peers to ensure level staffing and priorities throughout the warehouse). Monitor Workflow: actively monitor workflow throughout the day to ensure efficient, safe, and timely operations within your department. Performance Monitoring: Observe productivity and quality (safety, speed, standard work, packing accuracy) and give coaching/feedback as necessary. Issue Resolution: troubleshoot operational problems (personnel, inventory, fulfillment, process, ERP). Facility Cleanliness: maintain cleanliness standards (6S focus) including daily organization and cleaning of department area. Reporting and Communication: summarize and report on daily performance (productivity, efficiency, safety, planning) Performs other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and be able to reach with your hands and arms. On a regular basis, we will need you to be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and be able to stand for up to 8-10 hours. Qualifications That Move Us! High School graduate (secondary schooling preferred). 2+ years of experience working within a distribution center (prior leadership role(s) is preferred). An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions may be considered. Strong work ethic - must be a self-starter and willing to do what it takes to complete the task Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills Ability to multi-task and execute tasks with a high attention to detail Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers Strong written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Office (especially Excel) proficiency; ERP (Epicor) experience preferred Teamwork We have an awesome team at Burke and the right individual for this role will fit well within our culture of teamwork, straightforward and open communication.
