Research Data Analyst Associate, Rheumatology

Department: MED-Rheumatology Salary/Grade: EXS/6 Job Summary Utilizes multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets from a variety of sources and interprets results using various techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Assists in the design, development and implementation of business solutions partnering with clients to identify analytical requirements. Compiles reports, charts, and tables based on established statistical methods. Specific Responsibilities Strategic Planning Partner with clients to define requirements based on business objectives. Administration Develop standardized templates, policies, and procedures for internal and external reporting. Design documentation for qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Development Complete a variety of statistical analyses using appropriate data and software. Merge data from multiple sources in preparation for analysis. Interpret results of analyses for use in reports and presentations. Performance Complete data cleaning and organize data files for analysis. Review data and identify quality issues. Miscellaneous Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Successful completion of a full 4‑year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree, or an appropriate combination of education and experience. Practical experience in applying programming skills to real‑world problems. Prior experience with quantitative analysis, algorithm development, and statistics. Prior experience in theory and application of machine learning. Prior experience in software development, database maintenance, and high‑performance computing. Prior experience with big data, particularly genomic data, and/or bioinformatics. Preferred Competencies Skill/ability in computer programming using Python or similar, R, and Bash scripting. Skill/ability to apply a creative approach to problem‑solving and troubleshooting. Knowledge of development of online applications. Knowledge or interest in biology, specifically immunology. Target hiring range for this position will be between $56,782 to $79,850 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
