We are currently looking for an experienced, relationship‑focused Mortgage Banker to originate residential mortgage loans within our local communities. This role is ideal for a self‑motivated professional who thrives in a performance‑based environment while valuing the stability, reputation, and support of a community bank.

This position offers 100% commission-based compensation with a guaranteed draw, providing income stability while you build and grow your production pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate residential mortgage loans (purchase and refinance) in compliance with all applicable regulations and bank policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with realtors, builders, financial advisors, and community partners.
  • Actively prospect and self‑generate business through networking, community involvement, and outbound efforts.
  • Guide borrowers through the mortgage process from application to closing with a high level of service and transparency.
  • Maintain accurate and timely loan documentation in accordance with compliance, underwriting, and audit standards.
  • Meet or exceed individual production and quality goals.
  • Represent the bank professionally at community events and industry functions.

Qualifications

  • Active NMLS license in good standing, or the ability to obtain within a specified timeline
  • Minimum 3-5 years of residential mortgage lending experience, preferably within a community bank
  • Proven ability to self‑source and close residential mortgage loans
  • Excellent sales, communication, and relationship‑building skills
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
