Registered Nurse - SCI Houtzdale

Registered Nurse Salary: $88,130.00 - $109,766.00 annually Location: Clearfield County, PA Key Responsibilities Perform patient care: vital checks, medication administration, support daily living needs of inmates. Assist clinicians with examinations, clinics, treatments, and health screenings. Provide emergency response: first aid, CPR, AED use, urgent medical assessments. Maintain accurate record-keeping: document patient information, preserve medical files, prepare transfer or release reports. Manage supplies: sterilize equipment, monitor inventory, keep treatment areas stocked. Coordinate with team: share shift reports and communicate essential information to maintain continuity of care. Additional Work Hours and Information Full‑time employment. Facility operates 24/7 across three work shifts (1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM; 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM; 3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). Work hours to be determined; rotating shifts from Sunday through Saturday. Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. Telework not available. Starting salary for new employees in Pennsylvania: $88,130.00 (before taxes). Qualifications and Requirements Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Mandatory to obtain licensure if holding only a temporary practice permit within one year. PA residency requirement is waived for this title. Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA required. Applicants within 60 days of graduating from a State Board approved nursing school must provide proof of a current temporary practice permit or RN license. Must be able to perform essential job functions. Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
