Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS ACLS PALS TNCC ENPC NRP NIHSS Must-Have: TNCC NIHSS Description: Hiring Process: The clinical team will interview the candidate. If selected, an offer will be extended on behalf of the facility. Radius: 60 miles, a driver's license must be submitted. All clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote. Trauma Level: Level IV Number of Beds: 15 Number of Trauma Bays: 2 Fast Track available: Yes Separate Triage area available: Yes Travelers are allowed to perform Triage. No separate holding area in the ER. Separate Psych/seclusion rooms available: Yes Security is in-house 24/7. On average, the ER treats 35+ patients per day. Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:4 Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: Abdomen Pain, Chest Pain, Fever, Cough, Dyspnea, Headache, Injury, Extremity Pain Common Drips: Cardiac, Antihypertensive, Antiarrhythmic, Sedation, and Analgesia Charge Nurse takes an assignment: Yes Patient care support available: Ratios and duties depend on shift Respiratory Therapy is available 24/7. They perform ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs. Equipment: Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow RNs are trained to troubleshoot these devices. Monitor Techs are not present in the ER. RNs are required to read their own strip charts. Phlebotomy can be performed by both RNs and dedicated staff. Shifts and Scheduling: Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed. Weekend Requirements: Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule. Holiday Requirements: Yes Call or standby requirement: Determined by Nursing Management. Floating Requirements: Nursing Management may determine floating within Zone 1. Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue Unit/Department specific orientation will be assigned during the week of orientation. Cancellation Policy: The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.
