GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.We have an exciting opportunity for a Machinist to join our Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) Group located in Tupelo, MS. Under general supervision with detailed instructions, this position is responsible for running multi axis CNC machines to produce production parts or tooling. With minimum oversight, this position will be asked to set up simple parts on 2-4 axis CNC machines.Duties And ResponsibilitiesRun production to print and budget on multi axis CNC machines.Set up and produce 1st piece on semi complex parts with 2-4 axis CNC machines.Use standard measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, height gages, and ect. to ensure the quality of the parts.Clean machine and work area.Deburr partsPerform gathering/building cutting tools, fixtures, and raw material.After complete instructions, operates CNC or manual machines and inspect parts utilizing blue print dimensions and prescribed gages.Monitor and verifies quality in accordance with GA procedures.Prepares and saw cuts raw material.May layout, fabricate, and assemble components.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
