Lubrication Technician

Lubrication TechnicianThe Lubrication Technician is responsible for coordinating all lubrication maintenance functions to include lubricant handling and storage, machine lubrication, contamination control, and inspections and repairs. The Lubrication Technician utilizes the PDM system to perform lubrication checks and is also involved in writing PDM procedures.Responsibilities:Read machine manuals and guides to ensure compliance with warranties and manufacturer specifications in relation to lubrication programs.Perform all lubrication processes and checks according to established PDM guidelines; assist in writing guidelines in situations where they do not exist.Assist in taking lubricant samples for analysis and review results with appropriate members of management; assist in evaluating lubricant trials and samples.Assist in the selection of appropriate lubricants and in implementing lubricant consolidation programs; advise management of safety, quality, wear, or other issues associated with lubricants.Assist in the selection of lubrication equipment, pumps, filters, tools, hoses, containers, and safety equipment.Replace grease fittings, sight glasses, oil level control devices, and filters as needed or as required by PDM.Maintain all lubrication equipment in proper operating condition.Properly store new and used lubricants according to environmental and/or company regulations.Ensure against contamination of new and used lubricants; ensure against contamination resulting in the creation of hazardous materials.Inspect fluids for cleanliness, replace, and alert management as needed.Inspect incoming lubricants and equipment for quality and correctness.Participate in new equipment installation in relation to lubrication processes; identify all lubrication points on new equipment.All other duties as assigned by supervisor or other members of the leadership teamQualifications:Understanding of mechanical processesGood verbal and written communication skills2-3 years of maintenance experienceHigh school degree or equivalentBasic Microsoft Office experienceAdditional Information:As a company dedicated to its associates, we offer numerous benefits and advantages: - Growth opportunities, domestic and international, with the world's leading producer of wood panel products - Work in a diverse, inclusive environment with colleagues from around the world - A highly competitive benefits program including affordable medical, dental and vision plans - Company paid life and short & long term disability plans - Supplemental life, critical illness and accident plans for you and your family - 401 (k) retirement plan with company match - Paid time off including a generous paid vacation plan and holidays after 90 days - "Life of Career" training opportunities through our global or local KronoAcademy - Uniform & reimbursement for safety boots & prescription safety glasses and company provided tools WHAT TO SEND OUR WAY - A cover letter along with your Resume, highlighting your education, experience and skills.
