Position Overview:The primary responsibility of the Technical Product Owner is to prioritize and manage the product backlog, learning the customers and markets to deliver industry-leading software applications through documenting, analyzing, prioritizing, and agreeing on requirements for the engineering team.Essential Functions:Translate product road map to featuresParticipate in daily Scrum ceremonies, leading refinement sessions, and engaging with implementation teamAct as a liaison between cross-functional teamsManage product backlog, prioritize features, and create detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for the development teamTransform business priorities into technical requirements and engage thoroughly to ensure that business objectives are accomplished for PIDemonstrate sense of ownershipAbility to communicate technical concepts, risks and dependencies and translate them into TFS/Azure work items or plansWriting and reviewing requirements as well as maintaining the requirements in our requirement systems cross platformParticipating in scope discussions and facilitating the requirements elicitation process, leading from user needs, business needs, and regulatory requirements into well-documented requirements suitable for product developmentContributing to and creating corporate procedures that are related to requirement management and system engineeringRequired Skills (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position):Ability to document complex products and systemsDemonstrate knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in engineering and product developmentDemonstrate ability to think both strategically and tacticallyThorough knowledge of both web-based and desktop applicationsExperience with Medical devices or regulated healthcare industryAbility to communicate across departmentsExperience creating detailed reports and giving presentationsExperience leading Agile ceremonies for Scrum teams and authoring features, user stories, acceptance criteria and related technical detailsThe capacity to engage stakeholders and collaborate with them to define the team's requirementsWorking knowledge of Figma for reviewing UI designsProficiency in Azure DevOps/TFSDesired Qualifications: Education: Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalentExperience:Strong technical understanding of requirements methodologies, tools and best practices5+ years of software engineering, product development or related experience3+ years’ experience in project delivery roleExperience in agile development, SAFeMedical device experienceSolid understanding of regulatory requirements and business processes in the medical device industry – or any other regulated industryPay Transparency Notice:The target annual compensation for this position can range from $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 with a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of the fiscal year-end.Compensation for roles at GN depends on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experienceTo remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation and holidaysWe encourage you to apply:We highly value a mindset, motivation, and energy, that aligns with our core values, to not only ensure growth for you, but for your team and the wider GN organization as well.We are committed to an inclusive recruitment process:GN welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and applicants will receive equal consideration for employment.
