Allied Technician - Radiology Tech

X-Ray Technologist

This position involves the accurate application of ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. The role requires the execution of a variety of technical procedures, ensuring the highest quality diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure to patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Radiographic and Fluoroscopic Procedures: Perform a variety of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures utilizing precise application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.
• Patient and Equipment Positioning: Skillfully position patients and equipment to accurately demonstrate the area being examined, showcasing extensive knowledge of anatomy and positioning techniques.
• Radiation Protection: Implement appropriate radiation safety measures for both patients and staff during procedures, adhering to established safety standards.
• Technical Adjustments: Use independent judgment to adjust technical factors that ensure optimal imaging quality, considering human anatomy, the effects of disease on radiographs, and operational principles of radiologic equipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of X-ray experience.
• Current Skills Checklist relevant to specialty.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.

Work Schedule

This position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.
